Calgary’s 40th High Performance Rodeo brings together more than 20 bold performances in theatre, dance, music, and interdisciplinary art, showcasing local and international talent. This milestone festival, produced by One Yellow Rabbit, celebrates four decades of pushing creative boundaries and transforming Calgary’s downtown into a hub of cultural magic.
Bison Noir: Songs of Distant Shores features the virtuosic Ladom Ensemble in a genre‑blending performance that weaves Persian lyricism, klezmer dance, East Coast melodies and classical touchstones into a captivating musical journey. Presented as part of the High Performance Rodeo, this intimate evening combines storytelling, visual projections, and reimagined works by Bach, Chopin and Prokofiev with traditional melodies from around the world.
