Ashley blends country roots with influences from pop\, R&B\, and rock to create a sound that is both fresh and familiar. You can catch her at Dorsett Square\, 1339 15 Ave SW. \nBen Rose at CIBC\, 7-8 p.m. \nBen Rose (aka Café Rosé) is all about the songs. His originals will break your heart. His covers will soothe your soul. His guitar and his voice impress in their own right but they’re only there to serve the songs. He plays Country\, Soul\, Rock and Roll. Find him outside CIBC\, 1222 17 Ave SW. \nEh Train Quartet at Rockwood Dental\, 7-8 p.m. \nJazz ensembles that will keep you swingin’! Come on board & enjoy the finest in musical entertainment. Sax Quartet consists of Paul Evans (Soprano)\, Ken Drabinsky (Alto)\, Malcolm McKay (Tenor) and Alex Willies (Baritone). They will be performing outside Rockwood Dental\, 1032 17 Ave SW. \nHonens in Tomkins Parks\, 6-7 p.m. + 8-9 p.m. \nSettle into Tomkins Park for an early‑evening concert with Calgary jazz pianist and composer Timothonius\, whose warm\, groove‑rich style brings an inviting pulse to one of the city’s favourite summer hangouts. Bring a friend\, claim a spot\, and let the music ease you into the evening. This free concert is presented as part of Honens’ Piano Project YYC—a series of free summertime piano concerts across Calgary. \nYou can experience two distinct sets that reveal just how expansively the piano can speak in a jazz setting. The first is an intimate duo with upright bassist Jeff Gammon—a close\, conversational exchange between two instruments that have shaped the jazz tradition for generations. The second opens into a trio with saxophonist Mitchell Prentice\, widening the sound into something more exploratory\, more searching\, and alive to the unexpected. Together\, these sets create an evening that honours the depth of the piano tradition while embracing the thrill of discovery in the moment. \nPoncho & Pearl at Biscettes Bakery\, 7-8 p.m. \nFather-daughter singing duo known for uplifting covers and vocal harmonies!
