Need a quick stop? Utilize loading zones for free parking up to 20 minutes. Just be sure to check the signage for any specific regulations.

For longer stays, we offer areas and zones allowing up to 9 hours of parking.

Over 33 lots and parkades feature accessible parking stalls and designated on-street accessible parking. These areas are easily identifiable by blue signage and curbsides that have been painted blue.

Tips for driving in downtown Calgary

Know before you go! Driving in a downtown core can sometimes be unfamiliar, so here are a few helpful tips about driving in downtown Calgary.

One-way streets

Be cautious when driving and look for the black and white signs that indicate which direction the street goes. Downtown Calgary streets are set up in a grid, where generally every street goes in the opposite direction.

C-Train line

The C-Train line runs east to west on Seventh Ave. and this street is prohibited to drivers.

Take note of the main roads to get into the downtown core depending on which direction you are coming from:

North

  • Centre St. S
  • 10th St. S.W.

South

  • MacLeod Trail S.E.
  • 14th St. S.E.
  • Fourth St. S.W.

East

  • Fourth Ave. S.E.
  • 17th Ave. S.W.

West

  • Ninth Ave. S.W.
  • 17th Ave. S.W.
