CTrain lines downtown
There are two CTrain lines that run through the centre of Calgary’s downtown core on Seventh Ave.
The Red Line runs from the northwest to the south. The Blue Line runs from the west to the northeast. The train stops at each station and will be marked with its line colour.
CTrains run every 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours and every 10 to 15 minutes in off-peak hours.
Pay your fare at the ticket machine or on the Calgary Transit app, or validate your ticket at the purple or yellow boxes.

Free fare zone
It is free to ride the CTrain in the downtown core! You do not require a ticket to ride from Downtown West/Kerby station to City Hall station.
MAX Bus rapid transit network
Along with regular bus routes, the MAX Yellow and Purple lines run through the downtown core.
MAX is Calgary Transit’s bus rapid transit network, providing enhanced customer experience and service to major destinations across Calgary with optimized connections and fewer transfers.
