Downtown Photo Walk

Explore Downtown with fellow photographers in Calgary. Open to all levels!

Practice your photography in a fun group setting! We will walk around Calgary’s Downtown to practice photography as a group. It’s a good opportunity to try out street, architecture, portrait, abstract, and other types of photography.

We are meeting at Eau Claire Plaza next to the river. We’ll explore the streets with our cameras for 1.5-2 hours and head to a cafe to for a complimentary refreshment. Afterwards, we’ll end the walk at Alcove Beltline, where we’re presenting our annual community photography exhibition. The exhibition features work by photographers from across our community

The Downtown Photo Walks are hosted monthly in partnership with the Calgary Downtown Association (@downtowncalgary).

All levels are welcome and mobile phone cameras are perfectly fine if you don’t own a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Please dress for the weather and be on time. We will depart from the meetup location 10 minutes after the start time.
