On July 1, Calgarians and visitors are invited to gather at locations across downtown to celebrate Canada Day.

This year’s free and family-friendly celebration features an Indigenous spotlight and powwow, live music and will end with a fireworks show above Stampede Park.
Other attractions throughout the day include the Cultural Carousel, performances, face painting, food trucks and more.

Canada Day will end with a
fireworks show at approximately 11 p.m. launched from Stampede Park.

The best viewing location for the
fireworks is Max Bell Centre. The
parking lot will be open for fireworks viewing only, with no other activities
on site. Parking is limited, so consider walking or taking transit. Franklin
and Barlow/Max Bell LRT stations are nearby.

Onsite viewing at Stampede Park
will not be available due to set up of the 2026 Stampede and vehicle access
into west Ramsay (Scotsman’s Hill) will also be restricted.
